The Romantic Train In Western Kyoto

This train through sagano area to kameoka in Kyoto was used to be the colliery line.
The community arranged this line to the sightseeing spot in western Kyoto and it is recently getting popular for the tourists.

The view of Hozukyo(the valley between Sagano and Kameoka)is absolutely beautiful especially when it is sunny!  This train does not run in winter and they just re-opened since March.
You feel the wind, and see the sight of the mountain and the retro-flavored tunnel...they are just GREAT!

You can book the ticket at the JR station of Kyoto at "Green ticket center". I recommend to book in the early morning because it becomes full quickly!

The train runs in both directions (from Sagano to Kameoka& from Kameoka to Sagano).
